SUNRISE is an alliance of nine European universities that is currently being established and coordinated at TU Ilmenau. The participants aim to cooperate closely in the areas of teaching, research and transfer. SUNRISE stands for ‘Smaller (Strategic) University Network for Regional Innovative and Sustainable Evolution’.
The alliance is funded by the EU Commission as a European University Alliance from 1 January 2025 to 31 December 2028.
As a SUNRISE Project Assistant, you will ensure the administrative processes run efficiently and expenditure is monitored, as well as planning and allocating resources to the various areas involved over the four-year project period. You will take part in the coordination meetings of the SUNRISE management committees and provide organizational support to the SUNRISE Project Manager. You will be involved in appropriate and active communication between the various departments at TU Ilmenau as well as with the project partners.
Your tasks
Your job tasks includes the following responsibilities:
Project management in close coordination with the SUNRISE consultant and project management
- Progress documentation along the project milestones
- Preparation of overview presentations for the SUNRISE committees
- Recording and processing of quantitative and qualitative key performance indicators (KPIs) defined in the grant agreement
- Supporting and monitoring the work on the deliverables of the SUNRISE Alliance and reporting
- Establishing an internal communication structure
- Coordinating and documenting tasks as part of project work meetings
Time and financial management of SUNRISE resources
- Monitoring of financial resources requested from the sub-projects
- Monitoring of available project funds in close coordination with the commercial management
- Development of the distribution model for financial resources and the underlying request, planning and distribution processes
- Development of recommendations for the allocation of financial project resources
- continuous adjustment of expenditure planning against the background of planned project activities
Your profile
For being part of the selection process is needed:
- completed Bachelor's degree (FH) preferably in the field of business administration or similar or completed 3-year vocational training in the fields of business administration, administration, communication, foreign languages or comparable
- several years of professional experience (min. 2 years)
Following competences are desirable:
- certified German language skills at C1 level, both written and spoken
- Knowledge of project, financial and office management and internal organizational communication
- Expertise and experience in project assistance/team assistance
- Advanced knowledge of English language
- Experience in event organization
- Knowledge of success monitoring and evaluation of processes (controlling)
- Knowledge of the typical structure and stakeholder groups at universities
- Willingness to travel on business
