Ca’ Foscari University of Venice invites applications for a non-tenured position as Assistant Professor in Experimental Physics of Matter and Applications

Ca’ Foscari is looking for a non-tenured assistant professor of Experimental Physics of Matter and Applicationscapable of inspiring students to become game-changers in their own fields and to make a genuine difference in the world.
Scientific Commitment:
The research activity should contribute mainly to developing the departmental focus on materials physics, with particular reference to the study of alternative metallic material alloys to rare earths and other critical materials. In this regard, it will have to participate in the development of the research activities of the Department of Molecular Sciences and Nanosystems.
The research activity will also be integrated with the themes of the PNR 2021-2027, particularly within the large research and innovation area in the research fields of “Digital, Industry and
Aerospace (Artificial Intelligence, Innovation for the Manufacturing Industry)” and “Climate, Energy, Sustainable Mobility (Sustainable Mobility, Environmental Energetics).” To this end, the selected candidate will be expected to publish research results in national or international scientific journals in the relevant academic discipline, and disseminate research results through conference activities.
Teaching Commitment
The selected candidate could contribute to the teaching of courses in the Department of Molecular Sciences and Nanosystems about Experimental Physics of Matter and Applications.
The position is at the Department of Molecular Sciences and Nanosystems. The Department aims to stimulate research development and scientific education and is characterized by its research in innovative fields. The Department also interacts with local manufacturing firms and businesses, given the importance of its research on sustainability themes. The education focuses on both established research areas and more innovative ones like renewable energy sources, green chemistry, nanotechnologies and biotechnologies.
The educational pathways offered by the Department are designed to implement the strong interaction between the university and the job market, using a blend of traditional methods and new Lifelong Learning projects (LLP).
