Job description
The (junior) lecturer in will join a cohesive team of Communication Science section members within the BMS faculty, dedicated to innovative and inspirational teaching in Communication Science.
Main duties and responsibilities:
- Teaching and supervising first and second year BSc COM students; more specifically the (junior) lecturer will teach in BSc COM modules This will include the following:
- Module coordination
- Project supervision
- Assessment of project assignments
Your profile
- Has an MSc or nearly completed PhD in the Communication Science discipline
- Has excellent teaching potential
- Has experience as (junior) lecturer or as a student assistant with comparable work experience
- Can teach in English
Our offer
- We encourage high responsibility and independence, while collaborating with colleagues, researchers, other university staff and partners. We follow the terms of employment by the Dutch Collective Labour Agreement for Universities (CAO). Our offer contains a fulltime position for 6 months.
- Your starting salary will be € 3.378,- gross per month (scale 10);
- An end-of-year bonus of 8.3% and a holiday allowance of 8%;
- A minimum of 29 holiday days per year (full-time basis) and an attractive pension scheme;
- A family-friendly institution with excellent work-life balance support and free use of sports facilities;
- Employment conditions according to the Dutch Collective Labour Agreement for Universities (CAO).
