The ERC-funded Synergy project “NanoX: Nanoscale X-ray tissue imaging: understanding the pathophysiology of hepatitis E infection” combines the expertise of a diverse team with synergistic skills in infectious disease, physics, engineering, and structural biology to pioneer several technological innovations. At the heart of the project is the development of novel integrative approaches to assessing structural changes in soft X-ray tomography data in correlation with traditional medical assays.

You will have the following tasks:Development and application of algorithms for automatic image segmentationImplementation of workflows for big data management and data integrationConduct quantitative image analysis and statistical evaluationsWork closely with experimental partners to coordinate analysis and data requirementsDissemination of research results through presentations at internal seminars/workshops and international conferences, with particular emphasis on the publication of papers on the research topic in peer-reviewed journalsThe position offers the opportunity to pursue a part-time doctoral degree.
Salary
Salary category 13 TV-L, depending on the fulfillment of professional and personal requirements.
