Ca’ Foscari invites applications for a tenure track position of Assistant Professor of Didactics and Special Pedagogy.

Ca’ Foscari is looking for a tenure track Assistant Professor of Didactics and Special Pedagogy capable of inspiring students to become game-changers in their own fields and to make a genuine difference in the world. 

The Assistant Professor will have a teaching commitment of at least 90 hours consistent with the contents of Didactics and Special Pedagogy in the three-year degree courses, master's courses and doctoral courses is expected, in particular: 

- Teaching innovation and educational planning, in Italian

- Teaching, in Italian

- Pedagogy and didactic of inclusion, in Italian

Courses could change depending on the teaching plan that is approved yearly by the Department.

The research activity, both theoretical and practical, will be centered on innovative teaching practices, focusing on their design, methodological and evaluative dimensions within school and university contexts. It will focus on teacher training, including academics, educators, and trainers.

Furthermore, it will also include research on teaching methods applied to the inclusion of people with disabilities and special educational needs and, in general, to the pedagogical treatment of difference and diversity. 

This position is at the Department of Philosophy and Cultural Heritage, whose aim is to provide students with the knowledge to develop those interpretive, critical, analytical and communication skills that are necessary to understand and navigate the complexities of life in the 21st century.
