The Mental Health Academic Team within the Department of Mental Health and Social Work are seeking to appoint an Associate Professor (Practice) Mental Health: Academic Lead & Director of Programmes-Mental Health Nursing to join their highly successful team of mental health academics.

- Interested in leading a dynamic and collegiate group of mental health academics within the Department of Mental Health and Social Work as Associate Professor (Practice) Mental Health/Academic Lead & Director of Programmes?
- Keen to influence the future of mental health nursing – to be the best that it can be?
- Someone with a passion for delivering high-quality mental health nursing education, engagement in mental health research and practice developments?
You must hold registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC), a first degree and be qualified to Masters level in a relevant discipline and have leading subject expertise in mental health nursing. Proven ability to deliver high quality research led teaching and prior experience of leading teams is essential.
This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and requires a Disclosure and Barring Service certificate. You are therefore required to disclose details of any criminal record. ALL criminal convictions, cautions, reprimands or final warnings, even if they would otherwise be regarded as spent under this Act must be disclosed, as well as any other information that may have a bearing on your suitability for the post, including pending prosecutions.
