The ESRC-funded South Coast Doctoral Training Partnership (DTP) is a prestigious collaboration between the Universities of Southampton, Brighton and Portsmouth.  Its mission is to deliver the latest training in research methods and skills to produce highly qualified and rounded social scientists, equipped to meet contemporary economic and social challenges.

The SCDTP Manager works in collaboration with the DTP Directors to ensure both the efficient and effective day to day management of the DTP as well as helping to define and deliver its future strategy.  The post holder will facilitate the creation and maintenance of clear cohort identity, supporting students to successfully complete their programme of study, and working to raise the profile of the CDT both within and outside the University.

Based at the University of Southampton, Highfield Campus, the successful applicant must possess excellent skills in both project support and task, ideally with in the doctoral research student environment. 

You will be an excellent communicator capable of building relationships with multiple stakeholders across the University and the DTP’s partner institutions, as well as working with peers in equivalent roles across the University to deliver on the University strategy.  This role has line management responsibility.
