We are seeking to appoint a Lecturer in Primary Initial Teacher Training to join our Education Department.

This post provides an exciting opportunity to join a forward-looking department with a longstanding reputation for excellence. The Department offers undergraduate and postgraduate initial teacher education including Teacher Apprenticeship and School Direct routes and a CPD programme for NQTs, experienced teachers and other professionals. Our primary programmes are well established and have an outstanding profile of student outcomes.

This post is suitable for an experienced primary teacher. Some experience of supporting trainees in school, and awareness of current developments in the field of Initial Teacher Training are essential for the role. For this post you will have specialist expertise in primary foundation subjects and computing.

You will join an enthusiastic and highly successful team and play a central role in teaching on our popular Primary programmes. As well as teaching foundation subjects and computing the successful applicant will be expected to contribute to Professional Development and School Based Training across the primary programmes and contribute to other subjects as required.
