Role
The successful candidate will be expected to perform high impact research in the field of laser-plasma interactions and strong-field physics. They will also be expected to provide support for experiments and development of simulation tools for the community. They will work with the UK open source EPOCH code and become active developers of this code . They will work with our network of collaborators at experimental facilities in the UK and worldwide to realise and observe plasma dominated by SFQED effects for the first time.
The start date for this role is 2 January 2025.
Skills, Experience & Qualification needed
You will have:
A PhD in plasma or strong-field physics or a related discipline
A degree in physics or a related subject
Experience with numerical simulation
