Within the Department of Epidemiology and Public Health (EPH), the Biostatistics Unit is looking for a

Software Engineer (100%)

Your position
The successful candidate will develop health information systems and web-based interfaces combin-ing data entry and querying of geospatial health data with interactive mapping capabilities on Google Earth. The successful applicant will join a multi-disciplinary team that pursues research in advanced statistical modelling and Bayesian computation, applied in the area of infectious disease and envi-ronmental epidemiology. It is open immediately and it will be supported for 4 years.

Your profile
  • MSc (or BSc + work experience) in Computer Science, Informatics or related field
  • 2+years of experience with Java, knowledge of AngularJS/JavaScript, Spring framework and MySQL databases
  • Experience on developing web-database applications and applications using cloud services
  • Knowledge of Google Earth Engine, Python and R programming is an advantage
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English is essential
