About TU/e and HRM

People are the heart and soul of Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e). With excellent research and educational programs, we are part of national and international academic networks. We participate in partnerships with industry and civil society organizations, and we are the academic heart of the technology region 'Brainport'. TU/e has the ambition to become one of the leading universities in science and technology. In the coming years, we will strengthen our basis in fundamental research, invest in individual research talent, develop leadership in interdisciplinary research themes, and invest in high-quality student-centered education. Three challenges are fundamental to our vision for 2030: a sustainable world, the technological revolution, and the impact of technology on society.

The service Human Resource Management (HRM) consists of approximately 90 colleagues. In addition to Learning & Development, HRM also comprises the Policy, HR services & E-HRM, HR advice and OHSE&R departments.

About the TEACH team and job description
The TEACH team consists of four teacher education specialists and facilitates and supports the professionalization of all teaching staff at the TU/e (from teaching assistant to professor). The TEACH team is part of the unit Learning & Development and strives to strengthen the educational quality at the TU/e with their offer. We do this by means of designing, developing, and giving training or other professionalization activities, advice on teacher professionalization, as well as personal coaching. Besides that, we are also designing and developing a program that will further support teachers in their educational career path after the UTQ program (teaching excellence). In general, topics that we focus on are designing and implementing student-centered & active learning, digital didactics & blended learning, and (online) assessment.

In light of the educational vision the team contributes to the developments regarding challenge-based learning and multidisciplinary education.

You will also advise employees and supervisors about the professionalization possibilities within the TEACH program.
We are looking for a teacher education specialist with a hands-on and proactive mentality, who is able to build bridges within the TU/e and who likes working in a new and dynamic team where there is enough room to build and work out new ideas and professionalization interventions.   • To collaborate with your team members in a constructive and inspiring way;
  • To connect with teachers and other stakeholders in an inspiring way.
  • This is a temporary appointment for a period of one year, with an extension or conversion into an employment contract for an indefinite period if you perform well and under equal circumstances;
