We have a fantastic opportunity for a Trainee Computing Lecturer to join our dedicated and friendly team. As a Trainee Computing Lecturer, you will undertake a fully funded Teaching Qualification which will allow you to develop an up-to-date working knowledge and understanding of a range of teaching, learning and assessment strategies and know how to use and adopt them to provide opportunities for all learners to achieve their potential. 

By the end of training, the Trainee Computing Lecturer will be able to deliver outstanding teaching and learning to inspire, motivate and develop our student’s knowledge and skills. Through exceptional classroom, employer linked and enrichment delivery, the successful candidate will raise aspirations, ensuring students have the opportunity to either progress to Higher Education or enter employment.

Responsibilities include:

  • To design and deliver a wide range of effective and inclusive teaching and learning activities
  • To assess the work and progress of all students and provide them with constructive and timely feedback
  • To seek ways of improving student performance by reflecting on teaching design and delivery
  • To develop and apply innovative approaches to improving the learning environment, teaching and/or assessment and feedback methods
  • Engage in professional development in relation to teaching, learning and assessment
  • Contribute to course development and the development of new programmes of study demonstrating an inclusive and collaborative approach to delivery
