The position includes the following responsibilities:
- Research, independent and/or with the members of the Applied Functional Analysis Group. Targeting meaningful publications.
- Teaching (exercise classes 3h/week)
- Examinations
Your profile
For being part of the selection process is needed:
- Completed excellent scientific university degree (Master/Dipl. (Univ.)) in mathematics
- Excellent PhD in mathematics
- Excellent background and knowledge in:
- spectral theory of unbounded operators in Hilbert spaces
- perturbation theory and selfadjoint operators
- linear relations (theory of multi-valued operators)
- strong proficiency in spoken and written English (level B2 )
Following competences are desirable:
- strong background in mathematics
- Interested in actively collaborating and interacting with other researchers from control engineering, computer science, and robotics

In principle, the job is also suitable for part-time employment. The extent to which a part-time request can be granted, in particular with regard to the location and extent of part-time work, will be examined on the basis of the needs of the service.
