Ca’ Foscari is looking for a tenure track Assistant Professor of History of Architecture capable of inspiring students to become game-changers in their own fields and to make a genuine difference in the world.
A teaching commitment of at least 120 hours is required, consistent with the contents of History of Architecture, also delivered in English, within Bachelor’s, Master’s, and doctoral degree programs, in particular:
-Contemporary architecture
-Architecture of Public Spaces
-Other courses related to modern and contemporary architecture, consistent with the Academic Discipline of History of Architecture, in accordance with the Department’s teaching offer, which is approved annually.
Academic commitment:
Research activity, grounded in a thorough knowledge of the authors and themes of the history of the discipline, as well as in an in-depth exploration of its theoretical implications, includes — with particular attention to the European context — studies on architectural works, on the circulation of materials, models, and languages in the early modern and contemporary periods, with reference to the history of the discipline and its epistemology.
This position is at the Department of Philosophy and Cultural Heritage, whose aim is to provide students with the knowledge to develop those interpretive, critical, analytical and communication skills that are necessary to understand and navigate the complexities of life in the 21st century.
