About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and forward-thinking professional to join our School as Head of Music and Events. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing and vibrant department, helping to shape the future of music and events education while strengthening its contribution to industry, research and professional practice.
As Head of Department, you will provide leadership for the overall direction and development of Music and Events, supporting the continued success of the department. Working closely with academic and professional services colleagues, you will help create an environment where colleagues and students can thrive, delivering an excellent student experience and maintaining high standards in teaching, research and industry engagement.
You will be a key member of the School's senior leadership team, contributing to strategic priorities and helping to lead a culture of collaboration, innovation and continuous improvement. You will oversee the ongoing development of the departmental portfolio, ensuring it remains relevant, responsive and aligned with the needs of students and the creative industries.
Working closely with colleagues across the University and a wide range of external partners, you will help identify new opportunities, enhance the department's profile and drive the development of teaching, research, commercial and partnership activities.
