Dr. Anupamratanshanker Nagar is a seasoned academician, dynamic administrator, prolific writer, and committed thought-leader with over three decades of experience in higher education. Currently serving as Principal at Gurukul Mahila Arts & Commerce College, Porbandar since 2017, he has previously led several prestigious institutions, including Dr. V.R.G. College and Shri Jasani College, shaping the academic and ethical framework of thousands of students.
Holding a Ph.D. in English Literature (specializing in the mysticism of Tagore), Dr. Nagar is a distinguished scholar of Indian and comparative literary theory, having authored 21 books, numerous research papers, and over 40 scholarly articles across national and international platforms. His literary oeuvre explores themes from postmodernism and feminism to Indian aesthetics and spiritual poetics.
Dr. Nagar has supervised multiple doctoral dissertations and M.Phil. projects, delivered expert lectures nationwide, and presented research papers at over 40 national and international conferences, including in Bali, Indonesia. His academic leadership includes roles on the Academic and Executive Councils of Bhakta Kavi Narsinh Mehta University and tenure as Honorary Provost of Arya Kanya Gurukul.
Awarded the Shikshavibhushan, Best Principal, and international recognitions for his poetry and research, he is not only a steward of scholarship but a beacon of value-based education. A poetic soul, his verses—imbued with depth and spirituality—echo the legacy of thinkers like Tagore, Thoreau, and Vivekananda.
