About
Dina Mamede Pereira is passionate about physical and multifunctional assessment, as well as the prescription of exercise for clinical populations. She is currently attending the Postgraduate Program in Rehabilitation in Exercise and Sport at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Porto. She holds a Master’s degree in Exercise and Health, specializing in Exercise Physiology, and a Bachelor’s degree in Sport Sciences and Physical Education from the University of Coimbra.
During her master's studies, she initiated a research project titled "Sustainable Technologies for Fall Prevention in Older Adults: Assumptions for the Development of a Multifunctional Platform." This project led to the creation of Movital, an innovative platform for fall prevention in older adults, which earned her 3rd place in the 21st edition of the Poliempreende competition, promoted by INOPOL – the Entrepreneurship Academy of the Polytechnic Institute of Coimbra.
As part of her research, she has produced three scientific articles (currently under preparation for publication) under the title "Sustainable Technologies for Fall Prevention in Older Adults: Assumptions for the Development of a Multifunctional Platform," under the supervision of Professor Dra. Ana Teixeira and Dr. Guilherme Furtado.
She previously worked as a Boccia Coach at the Boccia Section of the Associação Académica de Coimbra, training athletes with cerebral palsy, neuromuscular disorders, and autistic youth. She currently serves as President of the Plenary Board of the Boccia Section.
She has extensive experience in the fitness and group exercise sector, having worked as a freelance professional for over 20 years and completed numerous specialized training programs.
