I have contributed to well-being of humanity outside academia by establishing the following NGOs which are promoting well-being of poorest and vulnerable people not only in Zambia but also outside Zambia:
(2) Southern African Think Tank for Ageing Research, which is a Southern African Region Research Consortium on Ageing aimed at bringing together all ageing researchers, academia, government institutions in charge of older person’s well-being, CSOs and individuals promoting older persons’ well-being and media from all 16 SADC countries namely Angola, Botswana, Comoros, Democratic Republic of Congo, Eswatini, Lesotho, Madagascar, Malawi, Mauritius, Mozambique, Namibia, Seychelles, South Africa, United Republic Tanzania, Zambia and Zimbabwe and other African countries and other collaborators from the global North and global South who are interested in ageing issues in SADC so that it becomes the main center for ageing research aimed at generating data to be used by all governments, CSOs, Media, academia, and regional and international development partners to improve well-being of older persons in SADC and to address regional and international research gaps in ageing research in SADC.Thus, his work on ageing has received wider recognition in Zambia, Africa, Europe, North-America, Asia, United Nations (UN), African Union (AU) and the whole world. Isaac is a Social/Public Policy and Development Analyst Expert; Social Worker; Community Development Worker, Youth Work, Geriatrics and Gerontology, NGO Sector Management and Development, Volunteerism Specialist, Monitoring & Evaluation (M & E) and Social Protection expert by training. Isaac is an academic product of the Lapin University – Finland (Ph.D, Doctor of Social Sciences), London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE – UK, MSc. Social Policy and Development), University of Zambia (Zambia, Bachelor’s Degree - BSW) and Economic Policy Research Institute (EPRI) – South Africa, Kenya and the Netherlands, Designing and Implementing Social Protection Programmes in Africa specializing in Social Protection Policy). He also works at the University of Zambia as a Senior lecturer for Postgraduate (PhD and Masters) and undergraduate students in the Department of Social Development Studies (Social Work and Sociology) – School of Humanities and Social Sciences. He teaches the following courses: Human Rights, Governance and Development; Social Work with Children, Youth, Older People and Families; Disability and Mental Health; Social/Public Policy; Social Protection, Community Development, GO sector Management and Development; Volunteerism; Management of Human Service Organizations; Social Planning and Administration; Monitoring and Evaluation; and Research Methods in the Social Sciences (Qualitative Research, Quantitative Research and Mixed Research Methods). Thus, he is well grounded in various socio-economic and political development issues.
