Skills
I am a research-oriented individual with a strong academic background in environmental science and plant physiology, currently pursuing advanced studies at IISER Kolkata. My work focuses on understanding the impact of emerging contaminants such as arsenic and microplastics on plant systems, along with exploring mitigation strategies using biochar and Fe-modified biochar. I have hands-on experience in experimental design, soil–plant interaction studies, and transport experiments in porous media.
**Skills:**
* **Analytical Techniques:** FTIR, SEM, XRF, ICP-OES, CHNSO, TOC analysis, UV-Visible spectroscopy, fluorescence spectroscopy
* **Research Skills:** Experimental design, soil–plant interaction studies, contaminant transport modeling, data interpretation
* **Biochemical Analysis:** Soluble sugars, phenolics, ROS, pigments, metabolic pathway analysis (glycolysis, TCA cycle, antioxidant systems)
* **Technical Tools:** MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, QGIS
* **Data & Presentation:** Scientific writing, data visualization, report and PPT preparation
* **Teaching & Communication:** Teaching assistant experience, mathematics tutoring, mentoring and explanation skills
In addition to my research, I have experience in data visualization, scientific writing, and preparing presentation materials. I have also contributed to academic teaching as a teaching assistant and have experience as a mathematics tutor, which has strengthened my communication and mentoring skills.
My achievements include developing innovative research insights into contaminant interactions in soil–plant systems and contributing to ongoing scientific investigations in environmental nanoscience. I am highly motivated, detail-oriented, and committed to advancing sustainable solutions through interdisciplinary research.

I am skilled in a wide range of analytical and characterization techniques, including FTIR, SEM, XRF, ICP-OES, CHNSO analysis, TOC analysis, UV-Visible spectroscopy, and fluorescence measurements. My research involves analyzing biochemical responses in plants, such as soluble sugars, phenolics, ROS, and pigments, and interpreting these within metabolic pathways like glycolysis, the TCA cycle, and antioxidant defense systems.
In addition to my research, I have experience in data visualization, scientific writing, and preparing presentation materials. I am proficient in tools like MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and QGIS. I have also contributed to academic teaching as a teaching assistant and have experience as a mathematics tutor, which has strengthened my communication and mentoring skills.
