About
I have ability to demonstrate a strong focus on marine biology, particularly in the areas of mangrove ecosystems, crab biodiversity, and environmental sustainability. The academic journey began with foundational roles as a Demonstrator and Assistant Lecturer in Zoology, progressing to a Lecturer position, and further advancing to a Postdoctoral Fellowship and Visiting Professorship. This progression underscores a deepening expertise and a commitment to research in marine sciences.
My main qualifications pertain to the fields of ecology, entomology, and environmental science, both in terrestrial and marine systems especially in coastal mangrove ecosystems. I have been guided for supervision one Ph.D scholar at Yangon University in 2021 and undergraduate students’ international level at Walailak University, Thailand in 2022-24.
I got 9 international publications in my research field especially related to mangrove crabs, in global carbon markets and horseshoe crabs’ conservation. My key research accomplishments include significant contributions to the burrow morphologies of crab species and their interactions with mangrove habitats, in research collaborations on climate mitigation and biodiversity conservation: global carbon markets and potential impacts on ecosystems and Asian horseshoe crabs appear tightly linked to geo-climatic dynamic as evidenced by publications in in reputable journals such as the Journal of Marine Science and Engineering and the Journal of Sea Research journals, Global Ecology and Conservation, Journal of Conservation letter, A review of progress and key issues in global carbon markets and potential impacts on ecosystems. Gland, Switzerland.
I am very keen to follow as a Ph.D candidate in Environmental Science (Biogeochemistry field).A major subject of Environmental Sciences at University in encompasses ecology, earth sciences, and environmental chemistry and take a strong interdisciplinary approach so I can gain skills in my research field to understand and manage the impacts of human activities on the environment.
