As a member of the Collaborative Research Center (CRC) 1441 TrackAct (www.trackact.kit.edu, granted by DFG) you focus on the following activities in close collaboration with our partner institutes:Sspectroscopic investigation and in-depth characterization of structured noble metal-based catalysts for emission controlWork on systematic IR spectroscopic investigations of the adsorption and reactions of NH3, CH4 and VOCs on pure and noble metals (Pt, Pd, Ru)-deposited oxide surfaces (CeO2, Al2O3), using both well-defined single crystals and shape-controlled nanoparticles. The multiscale IR characterization will be complemented by high-resolution XPS and NEXAFS studies. You will also contribute to manuscript preparation and the presentation of results at international conferences and seminars.The opportunity to pursue a doctorate in addition to scientific work is available.
Salary
Salary category 13 TV-L, depending on the fulfillment of professional and personal requirements.
