Library Attendant
Salary- £24,522 per annum (pro rata) plus 20% shift allowance for hours worked overnight
This is an annualised hours role working 1115 hours per annum/ Permanent contract
About the Role
As part of our Library Attendant team, you will contribute to the delivery of high quality Library services overnight. Ensuring a consistent, responsive and effective user experience for staff, students and visitors using library spaces and services. Working at the Boots Library on our City campus, you will be responsible for providing a welcoming, supportive and safe study environment for students using the library during our extended service hours.

With a customer service background and an ability to communicate effectively with a diverse range of people, you will have experience of contributing to a high-quality, customer-facing service.
About You

Please note: The role involves working overnight for much of the year, with daytime weekend work over the summer period. This is an on-campus role based at our Boots Library . This is a 52 week annualised hours position and your working pattern will be shifts of varying hours between 21:00-08:30 during undergraduate term time, and between 10:00-19:00 at weekends during the summer months. A 20% shift allowance is applicable to hours worked overnight. There will be a requirement to work some Bank Holidays/University Closure Days.
