About the Role
Knowledge Exchange is fundamental to NTU. Our ambition is to be a widely-acknowledged force for good in economic, social and cultural development. Our principle is that we change lives by championing a civic mission, and we are committed to our role helping to transform society.
As part of our Knowledge Exchange activities, the university runs a host of short courses across the disciplines of art, design, humanities, the built environment and more. These are run on an income-generating basis and support School’s commercial targets. They take place throughout the year as daytime, evening, weekend and summer courses, attracting the public and professionals from Nottingham, across the UK and around the world.
An opportunity has arisen for a Short Course Administrator who will report into the Short Course Manager to support these courses at the same time as sharing good practice with colleagues across the university to support wider short course endeavours.
The role involves the administration of short courses, supporting the tutors and providing information to technicians, estates teams and other stakeholders - and providing the highest quality experience to our learners. You will plan resources, book rooms, order materials and set up studios and classrooms across the campus. You will update course information on listing websites to ensure they are accurate, make sure rooms are set up correctly, and create digital certificates at the end of the courses. Most importantly, you will be the first point of contact for potential customers via email and telephone.
You will need to be organised and task-orientated. You will need to have excellent communication skills and have empathy with our customers to ensure they see NTU as their preferred short course provider.
For more details, please take a look at the role profile. We'll still consider applications even if you don't meet every single one of the requirements, so don't be put off if you don't match them perfectly.
