The Institute of Mathematics at the Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science seeks to fill the position of a
Postdoctoral Researcher in Algebra (Lie Theory)
commencing on 1.10.2026 (or later).
We offer a full-time position (40 hours per week) offered as a fixed-term position for the duration of 2 years.
The position is funded by the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) and is associated with the research project “Poisson-Commutative Subalgebras and the Feigin–Frenkel Centre”. The project is situated in the areas of Lie and representation theories, with connections to algebraic geometry, Poisson geometry, and mathematical physics. The successful candidate will contribute actively to the research programme of the project and to the international activities of the Algebra group at the Institute of Mathematics.
The advertised position is offered as a fixed-term position for the period of 2 years.
This is a full-time position (40 hours per week).
