The Professorship of I++ntelligent Hybrid Materials and Biointerface Engineering++ focuses on natural biopolymers for tissue regeneration and the development of bio-inspired and bioresponsive materials for applications in regenerative medicine. The advertised position is part of an international DFG research project and offers the opportunity to contribute to innovative concepts for the development of mineralising hydrogel and scaffold systems for future bone replacement materials. The newly established research group in Jena offers a unique opportunity to actively shape emerging research directions with a high degree of scientific independence and creative freedom. Part of the experimental work can be carried out in cooperation with the interdisciplinary Department of Biomaterials at the Institute for Bioprocess and Analytical Measurement Technology (iba) in Heilbad Heiligenstadt.
This is a part-time position (65%, 26 hours per week) offered as a fixed-term position for 2 years with the intention of prolongation by 1 more year.
In principle, the job is also suitable for part-time employment. The extent to which a part-time request can be granted, in particular with regard to the location and scope of the part-time work, will be assessed on the basis of the needs of the service.
