As student assessor, you are the link between the Educational Directors and the student population. You have an advisory role and provide feedback with regard to education-related policy developments. The student assessor has an independent role.
This is what you will be doing
- Effectively presenting the students’ perspective in the discussions and formulation of educational policy at UvA EB;
- participating in the monthly meetings of the Dean with the Educational Directors of the BSc and MSc programmes;
- maintaining contact with the Faculty Student Council, the study associations and the Programme Committees to keep informed about what is going on among students;
- you might be asked to take part in in education-related working groups;
- participating in the network of UvA student assessors.
This is what we ask of you
The student assessor we are looking for:
- is a student that is enrolled in one of UvA EB’s BSc programmes (preferably in the third year) or in one of UvA EB’s regular MSc programmes;
- is someone who takes initiative and is proactive, with good communication and social skills;
- has a demonstrable interest in education-related matters;
- has a good social network within UvA EB or is able to build an effective network as needed;
- has a good command of both Dutch and English.
This is what we offer you
We are offering a temporary contract from 1 September 2026 to 1 September 2027, with a one-month probationary period. If you prove to be a good fit for the role and are still studying, the contract may be extended. The employment contract is for a maximum of 7.6 hours per week. Your salary and the number of hours will depend on the number of credits you have earned at the start of your employment, ranging from €3,084 to €3,141 gross per month based on a full 38-hour working week. This amount excludes an 8% holiday allowance and an 8.3% end-of-year bonus. The CAO NU Collective Labour Agreement applies.
