“Podcast on Law and Politics of Prosperity and the Good Life”
The podcast moves beyond dry policy talk by showing how European Union rules directly shape the quality of daily life and local communities. By connecting law, politics and economics to real-world struggles like the cost of living and the green transition, the project makes complex EU decisions feel personal and urgent. Hopefully we can help address that many people feel left behind (or at least are highly indifferent to) European integration. The podcast will offer a space to discuss what a prosperity will actually look like. Instead of just reporting on new EU policy, the show explores how those laws determine who wins and who loses in the modern European economy.
The producer helps prepare the content of individual episodes, schedules and organizes recordings, provides feedback and evaluation of individual episodes (also with an eye to accessibility), supervises the editing process and coordinates marketing and promotion of episodes.
This is what you will be doing:
- Help prepare the content of individual episodes;
- Schedule and organize recordings;
- Supervise the editing process;
- Take responsibility for marketing and promotion of episodes;
- Provide feedback and evaluation of individual episodes, with an eye to accessibility.
Your profile:
- You have an undergraduate degree;
- You are interested in new media and want to contribute to developing a new podcast on EU law and political economy, oriented toward a broader audience.
- You have an interest in broader political and economic questions and capacity to spot new trends in these areas.
- You have relevant experience, either in conducting independent research or in media production and the social media landscape.
- You have good communications skills, excellent command of English.
- You are a good communicator who is able to work independently and take ownership of a project.
What can we offer you?
We offer a student assistant contract for four hours per week for the duration of 2026, with a probation period of 1 month and the possibility of extension. The producer will be paid per hour, depending on the number of hours worked. Your working hours will therefore be flexible per week.
We are working to develop a new academic podcast that examines a question that European law and political economy scholars have rarely been asked to answer directly: what does it mean to live well, and what role does the EU play in making that possible — or impossible — for its citizens?
