Job Description:
Full-time (37 hours per week) - are you a passionate and knowledgeable educator ready to inspire the next generation of social scientists?  You must be living and working in FE in the UK.  You will ideally already be living in the East Cheshire area, or you must be happy to relocate from elsewhere within the UK.  
Our client, a leading Further Education College is seeking a motivated A-Level Lecturer in Psychology, Sociology, and Criminology to shape the success of their exciting new A-Level Social Sciences Pathway.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan & Deliver: Provide inspiring, high-quality teaching and learning to achieve exceptional student outcomes and accurately assess learner progress and provide constructive feedback to ensure they reach their potential.
  • Engage & Guide: Serve as a mentor, providing personal tutoring and supporting student development during parent/career evenings and work effectively with staff and external stakeholders to deliver an enriching learning experience and ensure compliance with quality assurance processes, safeguarding policies, and health and safety standards.
Experience & Knowledge Required:
  • Educational Expertise: Degree in a relevant field and a current teaching qualification.
  • Teaching Excellence: Recent experience teaching A Levels or higher education in Social Sciences, with evidence of engaging teaching and learning styles.
  • Curriculum Familiarity: Knowledge of A-Level awards, associated administration systems, and assessing and moderating learners.
  • Sector Awareness: Up-to-date knowledge of developments in Further and Higher Education, including innovative teaching practices.
  • Digital Proficiency: Ability to use a variety of digital tools to enhance teaching delivery and student engagement.
  • Safeguarding Commitment: Evidence of dedication to the safeguarding and well-being of learners.
