About therole
- You will beworking as part of an established team of flow cytometryspecialists providing flow cytometric cell analysis as well assorting services to our researchers.
- As anAdvanced Research Assistant you will be responsiblefor:
- Daytoday operation and maintenance of flowcytometers.
- Training and supporting othermembers of staff/researchers in the use of theequipment.
- Providing technical support for thefacility
- Carrying out essential quality controlprocedures andtroubleshooting.
Aboutyou
- To excel in thisrole you should have the following:
- BSc inBiological Sciences with 13 years of relevant laboratoryexperience
- Practical experience working withcell analysers and sorters
- Practical experiencewith maintaining and troubleshooting flowcytometers
- Detailed knowledge of flow cytometryapplications with a focus on technicalexpertise
- Longterm interest in instrumentationand biological sciences
- Experience with usingflow cytometry data analysis software (eg. FCS Express Flowjoetc.)
- Experience with training others in theuse of flow cytometer
- A working knowledge ofcytometric protocols or other laboratory techniques (immunology)with an emphasis oninstrumentation
