Job Overview:
Protocol is seeking a qualified and enthusiastic Animal Management Lecturer to join the animal care department at a Further Education College in Birkenhead. This temporary, ongoing role offers 24 hours per week, where you'll be responsible for delivering quality education in animal care to students at various levels.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teaching and Support: Deliver engaging animal care lessons, support and assess students across multiple levels.
- Student Development: Prepare learning materials, assess and mark assignments, and conduct individual tutorials and assessments to help students reach their full potential.
- Program Contribution: Maintain high educational standards in the delivery of training and coursework, and contribute positively to the department.
Qualifications & Skills:
We're looking for someone who is passionate about animal care and brings both industry and educational experience. Key qualifications and skills include:
- Relevant Education: Level 3 qualification in Animal Care or a closely related subject.
- Teaching Credentials: A recognized teaching qualification.
- Assessment Experience: Holding an Assessor’s Award and experience assessing and teaching animal care at various levels.
- DBS Requirement: Enhanced DBS check on the update service (for both child and adult workforce).

You’re a motivated and inspiring educator with a positive attitude, excellent subject knowledge, and the ability to engage and motivate learners. You’ll have a solid background working in educational or apprenticeship settings and be committed to helping students succeed.
