Assistant Professor of Criminal Justice
Widener University is currently seeking a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Criminal Justice in the College of Arts and Sciences to begin August 2025.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (including, but not limited to) :
This position has a teaching load of 4/3 (12 semester hours/9 semester hours) and involves teaching at the undergraduate and graduate level. The candidate is also expected to serve as an academic advisor to undergraduate criminal justice majors. The area of specialization is open. The successful candidate will have demonstrated excellence in teaching, be expected to pursue an active research agenda, and contribute to university and professional service.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (education/training and experience required):

Commitment to undergraduate education, clear evidence of scholarly potential, and a Ph.D. in Criminology, Criminal Justice, or a closely related discipline. ABD candidates may be considered if the Ph.D. will be completed by August 2025.
