The Physics Department at Worcester Polytechnic Institute invites applicants for a full-time tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor to begin in the Fall of 2025. We are seeking candidates within the broad areas of computational or theoretical physics that would complement our department. Responsibilities for this position include establishing an active externally funded research program, teaching undergraduate and graduate courses, advising and mentoring undergraduate and graduate projects, and serving WPI and its connected communities.WPI is a diverse campus of learners passionate about creating an inclusive workplace that promotes and values diversity. JOB DESCRIPTION
WPI, founded in 1865, is one of the nation’s oldest technological universities. WPI is a highly selective private university with an undergraduate student body of over 5,500 and 2,600 full‐time and part‐time graduate students enrolled in over 50 Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Ph.D. programs.
