Assistant Teaching Professor - Dental Education (Part Time)

The University of Cambridge Institute of Continuing Education (ICE) delivers high quality and distinctive educational programmes for adult learners, predominantly studying on a part-time basis, for either personal enrichment or professional development. ICE aims to ensure that the expertise and resources of the University of Cambridge are made available to all students, irrespective of their previous educational achievements.

The Medicine, Health and Life Sciences Portfolio includes a range of undergraduate and post graduate courses including new provision in the area of Dental Education. This new PG Cert in Dental Education is designed to complement the PGCert in Medical Education, which is a long established and high regarded course.

To support the further development of the portfolio we are seeking a suitably qualified, enthusiastic team member to undertake the role of Course Director for the PGCert in Dental Education. This is an exciting opportunity to make a major contribution to the advancement of Postgraduate training in Dental Education. The role holder will need to work collaboratively with colleagues at ICE and other stakeholders in the University and wider dental care communities to ensure the very highest academic quality and professional standards, commensurate with the University of Cambridge's reputation. The role holder will work collaboratively to lead the development, orchestration, teaching, and ongoing evaluation and improvement of the Institute of Continuing Education's Post Graduate Certificate (PGCert) in Dental Education. This will include the development of a substantial element of online teaching delivery. The role holder will also need to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure provision, management and marketing of high-quality academically rigorous teaching programmes compliant with University and external regulatory frameworks.

The salary for this post is: £45,585 - £57,696 pro-rata per annum. A market pay supplement may be considered for a suitable candidate.
