Associate Professor in Pharmacy and Health Services Research

We offer an exciting opportunity to join our team as an Associate Professor and to grow and shape the high quality research and research-informed teaching within Pharmacy at the University of Reading. The successful candidate will build upon a track record of excellent pharmacy and health services research whilst contributing to high quality teaching across our undergraduate and postgraduate healthcare programmes. Working within a supportive and diverse professional team, the appointee will engage with research and teaching-related administrative duties, including (but not limited to) module convening, assessment of coursework and examinations, supporting academic tutees, recruitment activities and mentoring of postgraduate and early-career researchers.

The successful applicant will have:

  • Experience of teaching at undergraduate and/or postgraduate levels
  • A postgraduate teaching qualification (e.g. FHEA) or equivalent.
  • A commitment to promoting research and its impact on health services or wider society, securing funding and publishing in top level journals.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of Pharmacy and/or clinical practice and the relevant clinical competency requirements
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary team, promoting equality of opportunity, diversity and inclusion.
