About the role:
As the Lecturer in Aviation and Travel & Tourism you will deliver high-quality and effective teaching and learning to Bournemouth and Poole College students from Level 1-3 Aviation, Travel & Tourism. The post holder will also act as a personal tutor to students.
Responsibilities as our Lecturer in Aviation and Travel & Tourism will include:
- To contribute to the development and delivery of all our Aviation,Travel & Tourism courses
- To contribute to high-quality learning experiences using a variety of teaching and learning methods based on current best available practice
- To create an outstanding student experience which leads to progression or employment
- To provide academic and pastoral support to students in accordance with agreed procedures
- To participate in the College's appraisal process and to undertake any training that may be appropriate
As our Lecturer in Aviation and Travel & Tourism, you'll ideally have:
- Level 2 (or equivalent) English and Maths
- Teaching Qualification or willingness to achieve within 2 years.
- Graduate in relevant subject area
- Minimum Level 3 or Graduate in the relevant subject area, such as L3 BTEC Travel & Tourism
- Vocational expertise within the Travel & Tourism and Aviation Industry, including Air Cabin Crew
- Competent in Microsoft Office applications, including word, excel, powerpoint.
- Current evidence-based practice in Aviation, Travel & Tourism Industry
