About the Role:
We are looking for a Lecturer in Business and Finance to join us at The Bedford College Group. As a Lecturer you will play a pivotal role in the success of our students through:
Preparing, delivering, assessing and verifying subject specialisms within Business & Finance
Supporting and guiding students to achieve success and realise their potential.
Managing students’ learning and provide a high quality learning experience.
Contributig pro-actively to developments in the Centre in curriculum development and innovative teaching.
Participating in marketing and promotion activities to support a range of programmes and learning opportunities.
Keeping CPD in industry knowledge up to date
About you:
Degree or equivalent in a Business related subject.
Degree or equivalent in a Finance related subject.
PGCE / Cert Ed qualification or willingness to work towards.
English and mathematics at GCSE grade A-C (4 or above) or equivalent.
Recent professional updating in Business & Finance teaching and learning.
Experience of teaching and assessing a range of Business & Finance programmes in a FE (college) environment
Knowledge of awarding body requirements such as T Levels, BTEC, Gateway, NCFE and City & Guilds.
Evidence of high performance in previous roles/jobs.
Knowledge of the current developments in own specialist area.
Evidence of understanding how to promote equality and diversity within the job role.
Experience of working effectively with people from diverse backgrounds
Ability to communicate effectively and confidently face to face, on the telephone and in writing
Responsibility for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and for raising any concerns
