Business and Hospitality Management Lecturer
Malvern International is an international education company with UK-based International Study Centres at our partner Universities.
Within our University Partnerships division, our UEL International Study Centre offers:
- International Foundation programmes in Accounting, Architecture, Business and Management, Engineering, Computing and Science, Hospitality Management, Humanities and Social Science and Law
- International Year One programmes in Business and Engineering, and from September 2021, Computer Science and Hospitality Management
- Pre-Masters Graduate Diploma programmes
We are seeking two experienced lecturers to join our team at the UEL International Study Centre to deliver our Business and Hospitality programmes. One position is for an immediate start, and the other begins mid/end October.
The lecturers will have a robust approach to the delivery of teaching and learning while adopting innovative classroom techniques. The candidates will have at the heart student performance and retention through a supportive, encouraging and creative learning environment.
The ideal candidates will have broad knowledge in subjects such as finance, accounting, HR, marketing, and operations, and be confident delivering these at levels 3 and 4. They will promote best practices, support students, make decisions, take responsibility, and demonstrate a willingness to learn and adapt. A positive attitude is key to driving the success and growth of our programmes at the University of East London.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver teaching across a range of Business and Hospitality modules at levels 3 and 4, such as:
- Introduction to Business Environment
- Introduction to Accounting
- Introduction to Marketing
- Hospitality and Tourism Business Management
- Marketing of Services and Experiences
- Serve as a personal tutor, monitoring student attendance and engagement in collaboration with Student Services.
- Provide one-to-one support to students, especially before submissions and during resubmission periods.
- Act as module leader, responsible for developing teaching schedules, designing assessments, and ensuring the currency of teaching materials.
- Collaborate with teaching teams to standardise marking and feedback.
- Report on student performance and module outcomes each semester.
Place of Work: University of East London Docklands Campus.

This role meets the requirements in respect of exempted questions under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974. Essential Qualifications and Experience:
· Post-graduate qualification or relevant professional qualifications.
· A minimum of five years of teaching experience, preferably with international students.
· Experience in curriculum integration, assessment, and quality assurance.
· Understanding of international student needs and higher education.
Skills:
· Strong cross-cultural awareness, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.
· Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
· Competent in the use of ICT and organisational skills, with a keen attention to detail.
· Ability to prioritise and work effectively under pressure.
Working hours: 40 hours a week, Monday- Friday 9:00-18:00
Salary: Up to £37,000
