Location: Deane Road Campus, Bolton College

Hours: part time (approx. 12 hours a week)

Term: Temporary (Starting ASAP)

Salary: £19.15 - £26.71 DOE (including statutory holiday)

About the Role:

We have an exciting opportunity for a dedicated Chef Lecturer to join Bolton Talent Solutions and Bolton College on a temporary basis. You’ll be joining a lively hospitality department which includes excellent cooking facilities and our fantastic Signature Restaurant which caters for the public as well as the college. As Chef Lecturer, you’ll be responsible for delivering high quality tutoring to learners over the age of 16.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver lessons covering NVQ levels 1 to 3.
  • Guide learners aged 16 and upwards to achieve success and develop their skills.   
  • Assess student progression through appropriate methods.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Experience of Chef tutoring
  • Relevant qualification in Cookery or similar
  • Assessors’ qualification would be beneficial
  • Teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, Cert Ed) or willingness to work towards one.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development.
  • Familiarity with the latest educational technology and teaching methods.
