Job Description

We are seeking a Clinical Bioinformatician who will support our efforts in connecting bioinformatics, product development and clinical users together in collaboration.

This will involve different contributions and impact; ranging from subject matter expertise and exploratory data analysis to software testing and documentation preparation tailored to clinical users.

Please note this role is based on a 12 month fixed term contract.

Everyday responsibilities include:

Analysing and understanding diverse data sets, such as those needed for testing software products for clinical users.Support the implementation of requirement analysis and end user-oriented testsWrite high quality documentation tailored to end users.Prepare and provide training activities for clinical users and researchers. Skills and Experience for Success

We anticipate the ideal candidate will have:

Experience in clinical research or health care in either cancer or rare diseasesProven track record in analysing large-scale genomic data using cutting-edge bioinformatics tools and reference databases.Strong background in human genetics and be proficient in Python and / or R for data analysis, including data wrangling and visualization.

Qualifications

MSc. degree or equivalent practical experience in academic or commercial settings

Salary from £48,500.
