Job overview
The Dietetics department works across all Divisions and sites in Oxford University Hospitals Trust. There are adult clinical dietetic teams, based primarily at the John Radcliffe and Churchill Hospitals. Our administrative team provides comprehensive support to these teams to ensure a smooth-running dietetic service and office environment.
This post will primarily support the dietetic team based at the Churchill Hospital. The dietetic outpatient service at the Churchill Hospital specialises in cancer, surgery, renal disease and transplants. This post significantly and positively contributes to the delivery of excellent dietetic care.
Although predominately supporting the Churchill site, you will work in a team of Dietetic Administrators and provide covers and remote support for dietetic services at the John Radcliffe and Horton Hospital. This post will work alongside experienced dietetic administrators and be supported by administrators in wider therapies’ admin team.
We support flexible and remote working where appropriate, however this role will require regular on-site working.
Main duties of the job To provide comprehensive administrative support to the Dietetic Services Manager, the Dietetic Team Leaders and the Department of Nutrition and Dietetics.
Manage outpatient referrals, waiting lists and appointments for dietetic services.
Act as the first point of contact for patients and their families awaiting appointments to be seen.
To provide administrative support for Dietetic patients using the Trust’s software.
To undertake and oversee the ordering, delivery and payment of enteral feeding tubes and stationary.
To work as a member of the Admin & Clerical team in a flexible and co-operative way, ensuring the needs of all the members of the department, Dietetic Team Leaders and Dietetic Services Managers are met as required, providing support for other Administrators at times of pressure and absences.
