The Diversity Standards Collective is a fast growing specialist research and insights agency that brings global brands and advertising agencies closer to diverse, intersectional communities. Our network is made up of people with protected characteristics including race, sexual identity, disability, socio-economic background and age. We’ve worked with dozens of organisations to help them understand the diverse audiences they serve, and ensure that any content they create is authentic to the communities featured.


Our research delivers qualitative and survey based insights from our diverse and intersectional network of consumers and professionals. Our network has two distinct parts, a global network of Consultants, professionals who bring industry expertise to our work, and a diverse, intersectional consumer network, the Collective, that participates in our broader consumer research.


We are looking for a Community Researcher to support the delivery of our written surveys and our focus groups, and lead on project management and delivery for our clients.

Responsibilities and duties

In this role you’ll be working closely with the wider team to help us deliver work for our clients, as well as improve our internal systems and processes. On live projects you’ll be responsible for delivering research projects from start to finish. On the research side this will include organising and recruiting for focus groups, scripting surveys on our platform, hosting focus groups and interpreting their results, as well as helping pull together executive summaries and reports. 


You will work closely with the client services and operations teams to ensure that briefs are being delivered on time and to client specification.


The kinds of things you will be doingProject management

  • Ensuring that client projects are delivered smoothly, on time and at the highest quality
  • Team coordination, ensuring that internal processes are followed, tasks are completed properly, and there is a clear record of the work we’ve done
  • Setting up calls and meetings with internal team members as well as clients
  • Support and lead on delivery of internal projects


Research and fieldwork

  • Recruiting and organising participants from our panel for focus groups, setting up Zoom calls, screening participants and ensuring necessary materials are shared ahead of time
  • Survey scripting and set-up on our software 
  • Managing and quality checking survey responses
  • Leading focus groups with consumers
  • Creation of executive summaries and insights reports
  • Pulling data and extracting meaningful insights


What we’re looking for

This is an early career position, and while the experience outlined below will be helpful for any candidates, there are not strict requirements for this role.

  • 1-2 years of experience working in data, insights or research
  • Experience managing projects and working in small teams 
  • Proficient in MS office / Google suite. With experience in spreadsheets and chart generation

SALARY AND BENEFITS

  • The salary for this position is £27k-£32k depending on experience level.
  • We offer an unlimited holiday policy, an annual training budget, and a monthly wellness allowance for all our staff.
  • We are a hybrid team, currently working Monday, Wednesday and Thursday in our office in Southwark, and Tuesday and Friday working from home.
