It is an opportunity to help shape the strategy and growth of this ambitious and mission-driven company.

It will offer the candidate the chance to feed into and operationalise strategic initiatives, including travelling with the Founders to remote project sites and to support them at strategically important conferences and events. The position will allow them to build broad content expertise in the rapidly growing and fast-evolving carbon and biodiversity credit markets and financing space, including being exposed to rapid advances in methodological, technical and technological applications. It is a great opportunity for professional development and growth as the company continues to expand both in size, scope and geography.

It currently navigates this through its wholly owned subsidiary Carbon Tanzania which is Tanzania’s leading producer of nature-based carbon credits through its community-led, award winning forest conservation projects. As a dedicated sales and marketing platform for Carbon Tanzania, is has developed financing arrangements for business development and project development funding, as well as negotiating long term purchase agreements for the carbon credits generated by Carbon Tanzania’s NbS projects, and it has supported these commercial relationships with an innovative, forward-looking and sector-leading communications strategy.

We are committed to exploring and exploiting opportunities in the emerging biodiversity crediting space to develop or co-develop managed natural assets, or to offer skills and expertise to those doing the same. At the same time we are packaging and bringing to market a social value research solution called “Reflect” that helps nature conservation organisations, investors and implementers to better understand the lived experiences and impacts on communities that are involved in NBS projects. It also allows the organisations themselves to better identify, characterise and manage areas of risk within their operations and activities.

Bachelor’s / Master’s degree (or equivalent experience)Relevant work experience includes: strategy consulting, international business, operations, public sector / regulatoryAbility to operate in remote off-grid locations, and comfortable with challenging logistical situations
