Description

Permanent part time contract, 0.6 contract, 52 weeks per year. Salary is prorata.

To liaise and build relationships with external stakeholders to develop and deliver courses in line with Tailored Learning guidelines regarding supporting learners into careers and employment.

To ensure that courses are providing the basis for learners to progress into work or further training and are in line with local, regional and national skills priorities and provide progression pathways and guidance. 

To identify opportunities to utilise areas of priority and manage these in collaboration with the Adult Skills team.


Key Responsibilities

  • To design and deliver the core skills content for standalone programmes, or study programme components. 
  • To provide learning opportunities for learners to improve their employability.  This may include stand-alone provision or form part of a wider ACL programme.
  • Producing Plans of Learning, lesson plans, assessment plans, learning materials and any other related activities that impact on the effectiveness of learning and assessment. 
  • To maintain records of formative and summative assessments of students’ learning both for regulated and non-regulated provision. 
  • Where relevant, to communicate external examination entry and timetable arrangements to the course coordinator and to learners.
  • To work pro-actively to forward the success and vision of the department and the College.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • PGCE, Cert Ed, DTTLs or equivalent teaching qualification or willingness to work towards. 
  • 5 GCSEs at Grade A* to C or grade 4 and above including maths and English (or equivalent). 
  • Demonstrate professional knowledge of curriculum development and innovative delivery
