Mission
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and maintain the necessary infrastructure, including databases and hardware, to support the digital transition of the chemistry/chemical engineering departments.
• Create and implement user-friendly tools for interacting with and querying these databases.
• Conduct research to establish best practices and optimal workflows and formats.
• Lead the development of a repository of user-friendly scripts and Jupyter notebooks for the integration of machine learning techniques into the research workflows of the various groups affiliated with these departments.
• Provide training and technical support to the chemistry community on the use of the developed tools.
• Collaborate with an internal expert team and theoreticians from various institutions to tailor and modify tools for specific applications.
• Promote awareness about, and the use of, digital tools within the wider PSL chemistry community (both experimentalists and theoreticians).
Profil
Preferred Qualifications:
• Ph.D. in Chemistry, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Experience in academic or research environments.
• Proficiency in programming and developing scripts (e.g., Python) and using tools such as Jupyter notebooks.
• Proven experience in developing and managing computer infrastructure and databases.
• Profound understanding of best practices in data management and digital workflows.
• Excellent communication and training skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team of experts and theoreticians.
