About the Role
As an Accounts Guru, you’ll be part of a flexible, autonomous team where no two days are really the same. You’ll roll up your sleeves and handle:
- Bank reconciliations and bookkeeping.
- Drafting VAT returns.
- Preparing cashbooks in Excel from bank statements.
- Drafting personal tax computations, company accounts, and corporation tax returns.
- Collaborating with clients and team members concisely and effectively.
We work remotely and have been thriving that way since 2016. We do meet up occasionally (South East England location therefore preferred but not essential).
What We’re Looking For
Essential Skills & Experience
- Fluency with Xero and QuickBooks.
- AAT Level 4 qualification (or fully ATT qualified).
- Strong Excel skills.
- Experience in an accountancy firm.
- Experience in using & enthusiasm with learning AI.
- Attention to detail—what’s 20% x £438?
- Exceptional communication skills.
Preferred (But Not Essential)
- Familiarity with FreeAgent, Sage, & banking apps like Coconut, Starling, and Monzo.
- Residing in the South East for fairly regular meetups.
The Offer
- Remote role (37.5 hours/week full-time or part-time options available).
- Pro-rata salary starting at £32k+ depending on experience.
