If so we have an amazing opportunity to work as an Electrical Installations lecturer – and the best thing is the government are currently offering a £6000 incentive for the next two years for electricians to move into teaching!
What is in it for you?
£36,000 - £38,500/annum (depending on experience) + £6000 from the government for the first 2 years for joining education for the first time (making it a total if £12,000 on top of your salary!!!)Excellent holiday allowance – 49 day off per annumEnrolment to teachers pensions with a HUGE employer pension contribution of 28.68% of your annual salaryThe college will pay for and support you with undertaking a teaching qualificationAbout the Role:
You will be working in state-of-the-art facilities, with leading local construction firms to help train up the next generation of Electricians through their apprenticeships.
Delivering practical and theory lessons to diploma level 1-3 electrical apprenticesDeveloping learning resources, managing classroom behaviour etc.Who are we looking for?
Hold an NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installations (or equivalent)Have an 18th EditionPreferably have a teaching qualification (e.g., PTTLS) or willing to work towards it within the first year of employmentEnglish and Maths GCSE (level 4/C or above)What’s next?
