Salary:
- Unqualified: £27,750 - £29,400 per annum (plus market rate allowance of £3,000 per annum)
- Qualified teaching status: Up to £35,033 per annum (plus market rate allowance of £6,000 per annum)
Role Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Electrical Installations Lecturer to join our dedicated team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and informative lessons to students pursuing qualifications in electrical installations. This is an exciting opportunity to share your expertise, inspire students, and contribute to the development of the next generation of electricians.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver effective teaching sessions in electrical installations, adhering to curriculum requirements and academic standards.
- Create engaging learning materials, assessments, and activities to support student learning and development.
- Provide guidance and support to students to help them achieve their academic and career goals.
- Assess student progress through formative and summative assessment methods, providing constructive feedback to promote improvement.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that values diversity and promotes equality of opportunity.
- Collaborate with colleagues to contribute to the continuous improvement of teaching and learning practices within the department.
- Stay abreast of industry developments and emerging trends in electrical installations to ensure the relevance and currency of teaching content.
Requirements:
- Relevant qualification in electrical installations or a related field.
- Teaching qualification (desirable but not essential for unqualified applicants).
- Proven experience in electrical installations, preferably in an educational or training setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students.
- Commitment to promoting high standards of teaching and learning.
- Flexibility, adaptability, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to electrical installations.
- Willingness to undergo relevant training and development as required.
