Position: Employability Lecturer
Location: Romford, London
About the Role: Protocol are working with a FE College based in Romford who are seeking a dedicated and experienced Employability Lecturer to join their team in Romford. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching and assessing young people, managing challenging behaviour, and demonstrating excellent leadership and management skills. This role involves developing and delivering engaging employability programs that prepare students for the workforce, fostering a positive learning environment, and supporting students in achieving their career goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver employability programs and workshops
- Assess and evaluate student progress and provide constructive feedback
- Manage classroom behaviour and create a positive learning environment
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the employability curriculum
- Support students in developing job search skills, including CV writing and interview techniques
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance
- Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities
Essential Skills and Abilities:
- 2-5 years of experience in youth work
- 2 years of experience in teaching/assessing young people
- Youth qualification to Level 3 or above
- Excellent leadership and management skills
- Proficiency in managing challenging behaviour
Desirable Criteria:
- Experience working in a Further Education (FE) college setting
- Experience working in an educational establishment
Working Hours:
- 18 hours per week (12 hours teaching, 6 hours administrative duties)
- Schedule to be confirmed
