Class Act Teaching Services are currently looking for an Engineering Lecturer to start a permanent role as soon as possible in a Further Education College in the Vale of White Horse District of Oxfordshire. This Engineering Lecturer role is full time and it is essential to have some industry experience to be able to pass on to the students to prepare them for future roles in this industry. While previous teaching experience in desirable, the college are happy to provide training for someone who is passionate about the subject and passing their knowledge onto the next generation. 

Under the former Ofsted ratings for schools, this College was rated 'Good'. They take pride in being able to offer an inclusive learning environment for students to build their confidence and prepare them to take their next steps after college.

Engineering Lecturer Role:

  • Deliver engaging and effective lectures, practical sessions, in line with the curriculum.
  • Maintain a well organised classroom and ensure the safe use and storage of all equipment.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and industry partners to enhance the learning experience and maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends
  • Ability to assess students, monitor their progress, and provide constructive feedback
  • Compliance with the schools’ policies and the reliable implementation of these

Engineering Lecturer Requirements:

  • Relevant qualification in Engineering or a related field
  • Teaching experience or willingness to undertake training
  • Proven experience in the Engineering industry, with a solid understanding of current practices
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate students.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Commitment to maintaining high standards of teaching and learning.
