Engineering Lecturer

Job Title: Engineering Lecturer

Hours: 0.8 FTE (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday)

Location: Langley, Slough.

Start Date: ASAP

End Date: Until the permanent role is filled or approximately the Easter half-term. There is potential for the role to transition from temporary to permanent.

Hourly Rate: £30 per hour, inclusive of holiday pay (HP).

• Strong knowledge and experience in teaching micro-controllers.
• Experience with the BTEC curriculum.
• Relevant qualifications and teaching experience in engineering.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to engage and inspire students from diverse backgrounds.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging and effective lectures on micro-controllers, ensuring that all students understand the material.
• Develop and implement comprehensive course materials, including lesson plans, assignments, and assessments, aligned with the BTEC curriculum.
• Provide timely and constructive feedback to students to support their academic progress and development.
• Support and mentor students, offering guidance on academic and career-related matters.
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the curriculum and contribute to the continuous improvement of the engineering program.
• Participate in departmental meetings, professional development opportunities, and other activities that contribute to the academic community.
